It was very difficult to see her missing my Dad, who passed away in April. It was probably the hardest thing I ever saw her go through, and she went through a lot over her lifetime. She lost her first son when he was 1 and her second daughter only reached age 23. Even those two incidents seem like too much pain for one person to endure.
I’m proud of my Mom, for the life she lived and the will she demonstrated. She was a strong tenacious lady who made everyone else look like a wimp. She endured chronic, crippling pain in her later years, along with a husband who had lost his mind, but she still had the wherewithal to raise a glass for a toast when the occasion presented itself. She was a beautiful lady who was admired by many.
But, now there is only calm, and it’s peaceful. I’m grateful to be able to take pause for a while. The sun continues to rise and life carries on, but life will never be the same without her.
To my beautiful Mom, may you rest in peace, transition beautifully, and may you be rewarded for the honour stripes you earned over your lifetime, for the love you gave and the grace you leave behind.
I will always miss you.
Thank you for being my Mom.
Much Love
